devnet, the Gnome v KDE thing has already been decided: everyone knows that Fluxbox is the best desktop solution.

Fluxbox or XFCE is also decided: Stick with WindowMaker, since XFCE is bloated (tested it by an emerge -av, XFCE was a lot more bloat to compile, and moreover, WindowMaker doesn't work out of the box, while XFCE might).

More thoughts:

To Linux or to BSD? (depends) Linus or Gnome? (Neither) ESR or RMS? (again: Neither please) Hurd or being hurd? (The first implies the second) Vi or OOWriter? (Both of course!) O'Caml or Visual Basic? (The last, if you need it to work in AutoCAD) etc-update or dispatch.conf? (Neither, if you don't use Gentoo) Plan 9 or Inferno? (The first causes the second) Firefox or Opera? (The first should play a role in the second) Wine or CrossoverLinux? (Neither, just port my darn Windows stuff!) Packages or ports? (Depends if you like sh*t scrolling by for 40 consecutive hours. To be honest, I do) LXer or Linux.com? (If the second, disappear now!!!) Novell or Red Hat? (As long as it isn't SCO, you should be fine) Neelie Kroes or Steve Ballmer? (Communicating with the first is easier for me) Bill Gates or the poor? (The first damages the second) WEP or WPA? (Neither, since both suck, according to Theo de Raadt)

And so on...
