I'm more than cheesed off at Linux writers who continually refer to grannies when writing stories about Linux and older adults. Unless they've all dropped dead when reaching 65 (or another number representing "senior citizens"), surely there must be granddads out there as well. I think a giant foam clue bat is needed here! Whack, whack.

Nah, my mother (a grandmother for the last 18 years) uses a .44 Magnum. She's a real good shot with it too.

I'll add to this. Why do grandparents always have to be old?

I turned 43 a few days ago and I've been a grandfather for well over a year.

My Pa, who is 67, isn't all that geeky, but he knows how to find his way around Windows and Office. When things go wrong, he usually turns to someone nearby for help. He can generally install his own software and so on, but certainly no geek.

And that's not old?

Honestly, isn't it?

It's been so long since I was 43 that I can't remember any more.

SFN - Ain't that a surprise? Got that one myself not too long ago. One day you are just strolling along, whistling along with the tune "You're only as old as you feel", then you get the message..,.

Talk about going from young to old in 3.2...

Well Dino, in your case and mine, that merely means that it was at least day before yesterday.

Now, what was this conversation about again?
