just to be clear, fermi, I think it's a nice idea to have multiple widow managers around in support of grieving spouses :)

OK, neat trick, useless but neat.

you have another user who doesnt want to be bother with using the switch user option (or your current DE doesn't have that option). Put an icon on the desktop, or an entry in the menu:

X :1 -ac -terminate & DISPLAY=:1 $TheStartStringForWhateverDEyouWant

ctrl alt f7/f8 to switch back and forth.
