So, is this an exploit that can be used only locally or even remotely in Linux??? From what I have read, it can allow LOCAL users to escalate privledges, but I have not heard anything about being able to remotely exploit this bug and "root" a Linux box from the web... Does anyone know???

And,... is this the SAME Flash bug that has been known about for some time (months), in the Linux community??? I though there was some work on kernel memory handling routines to prevent ANY apps (but specifically cooked up in response to Flash) to cause this sort of thing from happening.

So, does anyone kow the state of affairs in Linux???
