In general, the world is not opposed to paying for software and services. However, in Oracle's case, they have built themselves a "lack of trust" reputation now. And when you lose the people's trust, they will reconsider their options. |

There is also this teensy problem of Oracle doesn't want to be paid for its wares and services, it wants to be paid a freakin' bloody fortune. |

Let's face it,... Oracle wants to be paid a "tax" for inventing corporate enterprise computing. Trouble is; A) they're not entitled to it, & B) they didn't invent the bloody thing in the first place. |
