This article seem to be a little more conscious of nuance, perspective, and assumptions than most "Gender Issues in the Technology Field" stories.

I actually would have liked to read a more extensive article -- this merely whetted my appetite.

What I liked about the article was that it was by people who are genuinely trying to make a positive difference. It also reflected both positive changes and the nature of the problem. It won't convince anyone who believes there is no problem but, as you say, it's a different approach than most articles and there is a lot to digest here.

Did you follow the links? There's a lot more good material at those various sites.

What I liked is that the article highlighted a group that's practically in my back yard,... only about 65 mi. away...
