DPMS is a big giant fail on most distros... It never quite plays right with the power down mode on TVs for HTPC functionality, often ignores the "don't sleep" function of media players, kicks in too early on many desktop GUIs... It's just another standard tech that is designed to steer people towards consumer software and away from open source... |
