This is the last article in a four-part series on the current state of 3D printing. In the first part, I gave an overall introduction to differences in 3D printing since I wrote my original articles on 3D printing three years ago. Spam is an annoyance and there's a multitude of ways to counteract it. However spammers also get smarter and try to bypass filters and stuff. In addition, ICANN has lately approved a great mean gTLDs (generic Top Level Domains), like .biz, .info etc. Some of those gTLDs are, in my opinion, exclusive used by spammers. An Absolute Software survey of 501 U.S. IT managers and decision makers at companies with 50 or more employees has found that fully 45 percent of repsondents admitted knowingly circumventing their own security policies, and 33 percent admitted having successfully hacked their own or another organization.

As promised last September, Toradex has shipped one of the first computer-on-modules based on NXP’s i.MX7 system-on-chips. It does not appear to be the first, as CompuLab promised to ship its CL-SOM-iMX7 COM in Jan. 2016. Toradex can, however, claim to have the smallest i.MX7 module to date — its 67.6 x 36.7mm dimensions beat out the 68 x 42mm CompuLab module.

We've all been in this situation were we want to exchange files with other users connected to the same network as we are, and while there are tons of ways to do this, almost none of them is easy, quick, or simple enough.
