New version of improved tiling wm i3

The new version of i3 adds support for many little improvements (see below). Similarily to other tiling window managers, i3’s goal is to increase productivity by not having overlapping windows. In contrast to wmii, i3 was designed to work well with Xinerama and particular focus has been on producing clean, readable and hackable code.

Third version of new tiling window manager i3 released

This release contains many small improvements like using keysymbols in the configuration file, named workspaces, borderless windows, an IPC interface, etc. (see the release notes for a complete list of changes). Press "read more" to get an introduction to what i3 is.

Yesterday, the new dynamic tiling window manager i3 was released. Focus is on clean, readable and well documented code, a decent Xinerama implementation and various other improvements.
