Wine 1.5.5 Brings Support for Mono

The Wine development team announced a few days ago, May 25th, that a new development version of the famous framework used to run Windows applications on Linux, has been announced by Alexandre Julliard, the leader of the Wine project.

Highlights of Wine 1.5.5:

• Support for Mono, which can be installed as an add-on package; • Pattern brushes found in the DIB engine can be dithered; • Support for .NET 4.0 runtime; • Support for DDS files in D3DX9; • Various bug fixes.
