The Fedora Project announced a few minutes ago, May 29th, the immediate availability for download of the Fedora 17 Linux operating system.

Dubbed Beefy Miracle, Fedora 17 comes with new functionality and features, among which we can mention Linux kernel 3.4, GNOME 3.4, KDE SC 4.8, GIMP 2.8, GCC 4.7, OpenJDK 7, PHP 5.4, multitouch support, systemd integration, OpenStack Essex, and many more.

Fedora 17 is distributed as Live CD ISO images with the GNOME and KDE desktop environments, and an installable only DVD ISO image, for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
