Canonical, Juniper Partner on SDN and NFV for Carriers

Juniper and Canonical have partnered on Contrail Cloud Platform, an OpenStack-based SDN and NFV solution for carriers that is based on open standards, according to the companies.

Canonical made further significant inroads in the data carrier ecosystem this week with the announcement of new partnership activity with Juniper Networks (JNPR). The deal centers on a solution, based on Ubuntu Linux and OpenStack, that provides software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV) for service providers.
