CentOS-Based Rocks Cluster Specialist Distribution 6.2 Updates ZFS Support

Philip Papadopoulos announced the immediate availability for download of Rocks Cluster 6.2, a specialist Linux kernel-based operating system derived from the well-known CentOS distribution.

Dubbed Sidewinder, Rocks Cluster 6.2 is now based on the CentOS 6.6 operating system, and it includes all the upstream package updates as on May 10, 2015. It is available for download as an installable-only ISO image that runs only on 64-bit capable computers.

According to the release notes, Rocks Cluster 6.2 (Sidewinder) updates support for the ZFS filesystem (version 0.6.4.1 is now included), Condor has been updated to version 8.2.8 and it is now the default HTCondor roll, and it's now possible to reconfigure your cluster's FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name).
