DistroWatch reports - I'm glad to announce SUSE Linux 10.1 Codename 'Agama Lizard' Beta9. Please read the complete list of known issues. We've created a repository with some non-OSS software. The same software is also available via two non-OSS CDs that can be used during installation as add-on media. There's one media for both i386 and x86-64 and one for PowerPC. Have a lot of fun!

Ubuntu 6.06 Flight 6 Screenshot Tour

DistroWatch reports - Flight 6, the latest alpha of Dapper Drake, is available. Significant changes affecting the installer and live CD include: Espresso has been further improved and should now work on PowerPC, it now correctly estimates time needed for installation; Espresso still has bugs, but we encourage everybody to test it and file bugs about any bugs you find; the default theme has been tweaked slightly; new versions of GNOME and KDE are included.

The new version 0.04, released yesterday, is derived from SLAX 5.0.7b with a number of newly updated packages; these include Linux kernel 2.6.15, X.Org 6.9.0, KDE 3.5.0, OpenOffice.org 2.0.1 (replaces KOffice), GIMP 2.2.10, Firefox 1.5.0.1 and Thunderbird 1.5.
